New geographies and genres: The function of literature
Under the umbrella of new geographies and genres in modern Arabic literature, the 11th EURAMAL conference would like to explore all kind of mutations and transportations (physical, conceptual, linguistic…) in the literary scene, as well as new themes, up to recently marginalized. Since many of these transformations are taking place in the last years, the conference would like to primarily focus on the two recent decades, although many issues will inevitably require historic or diachronic perspectives. Closely related to these processes of change is the role of translation and its impact in new conceptions of literature/adab, its understanding, spreading and function. It is envisaged that the research papers presented may relate, primarily although not exclusively, to possible topics such as:
- New roles and concepts of literature/adab
- New genres, (for ex. Science Fiction, Graphic novel…)
- Emerging Arab writers from the Gulf to the Ocean
- Arabic literature and World Literature
- The religious as an essential element in contemporary creative writing
- What happened to iltizam?
- Reception: readers and/or translations
- Transforming the canons
جغرافيات وأنواع جديدة: وظيفة الأدب
تحت شعار الجغرافيات والأنواع الجديدة في الأدب العربي المعاصر يسعى المؤتمر الحادي عشر للجمعية الأووربية لدراسة الأدب العربي الحديث، والمقرر عقده بمدريد بين السابع والعاشر من مايو/أيار عام 2014، إلى تناول كافة أنواع التحولات والتنقلات الجارية في المشهد الادبي، سواء أكانت مادية أم مفهومية أم لغوية وغيرها، إلى جانب موضوعات حديثة تم تهميشها حتى فترة قريبة من الزمن. وبما أنّ الكثير من هذه التغيرات قد وقع خلال السنوات الأخيرة، فلذلك يتوخى المؤتمر أساساً التركيز على العقدين الأخيرين، وإن استوجب العديد من المواضيع مقاربةً من منظور تاريخي أو زمني. ويعتبر دور الترجمة وآثارها على المفاهيم الجديدة للأدب من حيث فهمه وبثه ووظيفته عاملاً موازيا لعملية التحول هذه. ومن المنتظر أن ترتبط المقالات المقدمة، مبدئياً لا حصراً، بمسائل كالآتية.
ـ الأدوار والمفاهيم الجديدة للأدب.
ـ أنواع أدبية جديدة (مثلا: الخيال العلمي، والرواية المصورة، وغيرها).
ـ كتّاب عرب ناشؤون من الخليج إلى المحيط.
ـ الادب العربي والأدب العالمي.
ـ الجانب الديني كعامل أساسي في الكتابة الإبداعية المعاصرة.
ـ موقع الالتزام اليوم؟
ـ التلقي: القُرّاء و/أو الترجمات.
ـ تغيير الضوابط الأدبية (القانون الأدبي) .
Nuevas geografías y géneros: la función de la literatura
Bajo el lema de “Nuevas geografías y géneros en la literatura árabe moderna”, el 11º Congreso Internacional de EURAMAL busca explorar todo tipo de cambios y transposiciones (físicas, conceptuales, lingüísticas, etc.) ocurridas en el panorama literario, así como nuevas temáticas marginadas hasta hace bien poco. Dado que muchas de estas transformaciones han tenido lugar en los últimos años, el Congreso desea centrarse principalmente en las dos últimas décadas, aunque muchos temas requieran inevitablemente perspectivas históricas o diacrónicas. Estrechamente relacionado con este proceso de cambio está el papel de la traducción y su impacto sobre las nuevas concepciones de literatura/adab, cómo se entiende éste, se difunde y opera. Las ponencias girarán en torno a los siguientes ejes:
-Nuevos roles y conceptos de literatura/adab.
-Nuevos géneros (ciencia-ficción, novela gráfica, etc.).
-Escritores árabes emergentes del Golfo al Océano.
-Literatura Árabe y Literatura del Mundo.
-Lo religioso como elemento esencial en la escritura creativa contemporánea.
-El compromiso/iltizām hoy en día.
-Recepción: lectores y/o traducciones.
-El canon literario en transformación.
